Sumit Sawhney, MD, attended the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi, India, and received his medical degree in 1989. He then relocated to the United States, where he served his internal medicine residency and hematology-oncology fellowship internship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 1996. In addition, Dr. Sawhney received board certification in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
